Holcim is expanding its range of solutions for modern construction and introducing polystyrene foam under the Holcim Insulation brand. Products previously known as Izolbet retain their proven technical parameters while gaining a new, transparent naming system and uniform product identification standards. The Izolbet brand remains present in the construction chemicals market.
The change is part of the consistent development of Holcim's portfolio, which now includes solutions for virtually all stages of the construction process – from foundations, through structure, to finishing and insulation materials.

The new Holcim Insulation brand is designed to make it easier to choose the right product. In addition to the visual identity change, a consistent naming system has been introduced, with key technical parameters included directly in the product name.
" The transition to the Holcim brand is a commitment to even higher quality – measurable at every stage of production. We've implemented stricter raw material selection criteria: polystyrene granules undergo rigorous bulk density and chemical purity testing before they reach the expander. Holcim brings something very specific to this – ensuring even higher quality control standards. Each batch of panels is tested not only for lambda and compressive strength, but also for dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. These are key parameters for facades or flat roofs in the summer. The market expects transparency from us – that's why we've encoded the most important parameters directly into the product name. When ordering the material, customers know exactly what they're getting, " emphasizes Aneta Obłuska, Product Manager at Holcim Polska.
Each product name contains information on the type of polystyrene (white, graphite or waterproof), the area of application, the product level (Standard, Plus, Pro, Ultra or Extreme), the declared thermal conductivity coefficient lambda and, in the case of selected roofing and flooring products, also the compressive strength parameter (CS).

One example is the product Holcim Styropian BIAŁY PODŁOGA DACH PRO 100–037 , which means white polystyrene intended for roofs and floors, with a compressive strength of 100 kPa and a thermal conductivity coefficient of λ ≤ 0,037 W/(m K).
The new portfolio includes solutions for four main applications: facade insulation systems (ETICS), roofs and floors, utility roofs and parking decks, and foundations. The products retain their existing technical parameters and are tailored to the requirements of various types of investments – from single-family homes to commercial and industrial facilities.
The packaging has also been changed. Individual product groups are now marked with distinct colors, and each package now features clear labeling of the intended use, product category, and its basic technical parameters.
Holcim also emphasizes the environmental benefits of the material. Styrofoam can be recycled, and properly prepared production and construction waste can be reused to produce new products or other building materials, supporting the principles of a circular economy.
