On June 24 this year, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology, in cooperation with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Polymer Materials, is organizing an event entitled “Sustainable development in the recycling industry: preparing the SME sector for ESG reporting . ”
The event will be held at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology (ul. K. Miarki 12-14, Gliwice) and aims to popularize knowledge and issues related to ESG among small and medium-sized enterprises in the recycling industry. It will also focus on practical aspects of implementing sustainable development in this industry, as well as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in preparing for ESG reporting.
The event will provide a platform for exchanging experiences and inspiring the implementation of modern, sustainable solutions in the recycling sector. It will begin with an introductory presentation on ESG-related topics and concepts. Participants will then engage in an expert panel discussion on the role of technological innovation, research, and cross-sector collaboration in accelerating ESG transformation. The workshop will also provide insights into current regulations, standards, and best practices in reporting, as well as practical tips for building a company's strategy in line with ESG guidelines.

The aim of the study is to develop recommendations for further development of outreach and educational activities on sustainable development, including further ESG initiatives targeted at additional industries.
